Using our drawing tools on the top left of your map screen you can define your site properties, select the Line Tool to get started, click on the corners of the roof or obstruction, use modifier keys for precision drawing, and click starting point to complete the object.
Drawing Tools – The following tools will be critical to drawing your site, hovering your mouse over each of the icons will give you tool tips for how to use each.
- Select – Finger – Move map or select various objects
- Hold Shift to snap modules
- Hold Control to draw modules adjacent to any selected modules or row of modules
- Line – Draw lines to outline roofs and obstructions
- Hold Shift to Snap lines
- Hold Control to limit cursor to 15 degree increments
- Press G key to toggle a 90 degree guide
- Press Q key to toggle roof squaring
- Circle – Draw to to outline obstructions or trees, click to place the center location and drag the mouse to expand the radius – click again to add to the map
- Multi Select – Square Plus – Select one or multiple modules to move / copy / delete
- Hold Shift to de-select modules
- Hold Control and use arrow keys to draw modules adjacent to any selected modules or row of modules
- Insert Image – Picture – Upload images and insert into drawing, adjust image attributes in the Site tab, up to 3 images supported per design
- Copy – Page – Copy items on the map
- Paste – Clipboard – Paste copied object by click on the map
- Hold Shift to snap modules to existing array once they have been pasted
- Delete – Trash – Delete selected items
- Zoom – You can use your mousepad or the zoom in the bottom right corner to zoom in or out on your design.
- Help – Select the question mark on the bottom right side of the screen if you need help from our team at any time
